Mohamed Salah could be heading to Beşiktaş, with Turkish reports saying negotiations have started after his departure from Liverpool made him a free agent.
According to Fanatik, agent Ramy Abbas has travelled to Istanbul to assess whether the move can be completed. Beşiktaş have already received an offer to sign the Egypt forward and the first round of talks has begun.
Money remains the main sticking point. Salah is said to want a salary of €15 million a year, a figure that would be difficult for Beşiktaş to meet without finding a way to reshape the deal.
A direct meeting between club officials and Abbas is expected in the next few hours as both sides try to narrow the gap. The report also says Salah is open to playing in Turkey, while his family would prefer a move there, and that he is not currently keen on a switch to Saudi Arabia.
Salah left Liverpool after nine seasons and can now choose his next club on a free transfer.
