Fabio Cannavaro said he had no complaints about his Uzbekistan players after a 3-1 defeat to Congo left them with three losses at World Cup 2026.
Cannavaro said Uzbekistan used a lot of energy in the first half and started the match well, creating several chances before the break. But he said mistakes after half-time changed the game.
He said Congo were in good form and warned that losing control of the ball would make life difficult. Uzbekistan scored no second-half response after conceding three times in the period.
The coach described the tournament as a major experience for him and his squad, adding that it would give them motivation going forward. He said he was sorry about the loss, but praised the players for doing everything they could and said he was proud of them.
