Vicente del Bosque has urged Spain not to take Argentina lightly before their World Cup final meeting with the holders.
Del Bosque, who led Spain to the 2010 title with a 1-0 win over the Netherlands, told El Pais that Argentina are a tough side who know exactly what they are doing. He pointed to their 2-1 win over England as evidence of their quality.
The 75-year-old, formerly of Real Madrid, said Spain may have the edge but must still be wary because Argentina bring experience. He also praised Spain’s tournament form, saying they have controlled the games they have played, dictated the tempo and shown strong confidence.
Del Bosque went further and predicted that Spain will win the World Cup.
