Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has all but confirmed Ronald Araujo could leave the club this summer, with Spanish reports saying the Uruguay defender is close to joining Liverpool on loan.
Flick explains his position
Speaking to Marca, Flick wished Araujo well and said the defender is a strong, quick player, but not one he can use as much as he would like.
He added that he and Araujo have spoken, and that the defender looked happy in training. Flick said changes are normal in football, while acknowledging the noise around the situation.
Barcelona plan to move on
Flick said Barcelona know what Araujo wants and are focused on developing the squad.
The remarks point to an exit becoming more likely, with Barcelona reported to have agreed to the move.
