Haiti coach Sebastien Migne says his side are ready to compete with Scotland in their first match at the 2026 World Cup.
Speaking before Haiti's opening game, Migne said the team could be one of the tournament's surprises and stressed that they must score in every match if they want to win. Haiti are in Brazil's group, but Migne believes his players can raise their level against stronger opposition.
Haiti are appearing at the World Cup for only the second time. Their previous finals appearance came in 1974, when they lost all three group games but did score against Italy and Argentina.
Migne said the squad may be less well known than some of their rivals, but he wants them to make a mark on the tournament and push for a first World Cup win and a chance of progress from the group.
