Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or in London on Monday night, taking the biggest individual prize of his career.
Kane tops Mbappé and Yamal
The Bayern Munich striker finished ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal at the ceremony in the English capital.
Kane's award capped a season in which he scored heavily and did more than finish chances. He dropped deep to receive the ball, helped his team move it through midfield and created space for others.
That mix of goals and link-up play has long set him apart from many centre-forwards of his generation. It also gave him another major honour after years of strong seasons at Tottenham.
A career milestone
Kane joined Bayern Munich in 2023 as he looked to compete for major trophies. The Ballon d'Or now sits alongside his club and international record as recognition of his work across both levels.
His win also places him in the history of English football, with the award marking the high point of a career built on consistency, discipline and technical quality.
