Iraq's group-stage exit at the 2026 World Cup has placed them alongside some of Asia's weakest ever performances at the tournament.
The side lost all three of their matches and finished with a goal difference of minus-11, matching North Korea's 2010 record in the same category.
South Korea still hold the worst Asian mark at a World Cup, after their 1954 campaign ended with two heavy defeats and a minus-16 goal difference.
Saudi Arabia's 2002 finals also rank badly on the list, with three losses from three and a minus-12 goal difference.
Iraq also sit among the Asian teams with the most goals conceded in the group stage of a World Cup since 1990, alongside Tunisia in 2026, North Korea in 2010 and Saudi Arabia in 2002.
