Italy have formally confirmed Roberto Mancini’s coaching staff ahead of September’s camp and their Nations League fixtures against Turkey, France and Belgium.
Oriali returns as team manager
Gabriele Oriali has been appointed team manager, returning to a role he has already filled under Antonio Conte and in Mancini’s previous spell in charge. Alberto Bollini, who led Italy Under-19s to the European title in 2023, will serve as first assistant.
Leonardo Bonucci, Antonio Gagliardi and Massimo Maccarone are among the technical staff. Bonucci continues his involvement with the national side after a spell on Gennaro Gattuso’s staff.
Full staff group named
Marco Rocati will work as goalkeeping coach, with Cristiano Lupatelli as his assistant. Giacomo Cecche and Marco Montini have been named as fitness coaches, while Renato Baldi and Cristian Venturini will act as match analysts.
Gagliardi returns after working as a match analyst during Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph. Maccarone will take part in the senior national team set-up for the first time, having previously worked with Mancini at Al Sadd and coached in Italy’s lower leagues.
