Juventus are trying to close a deal for Randal Kolo Muani by taking their offer to just over €40m with add-ons, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Juventus move towards PSG demands
Paris Saint-Germain opened negotiations at €50m, but Juventus are now working on the variable part of the package and a future sell-on clause to bridge the gap. The Italian club believe the move could be finalised in the coming days.
Long-running mediation by Giovanni Carnevali and Frederic Massara has already helped ease the tension left over from last year and brought the two sides closer together.
Player preference still matters
Kolo Muani’s wish to join Juventus remains the key factor in the deal. That same personal stance has also shaped talks over Colombian defender Juan Cabal, who has turned down approaches from Galatasaray and Besiktas for now in order to honour his agreement with Juventus.
A Juventus sale at centre-back could speed up negotiations with Bologna, with Carnevali and Bologna director Claudio Fenucci discussing the issue on the sidelines of the recent league meeting.
