Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac has set club bests across several Bundesliga measures, according to Opta.
Opta numbers put Kovac top
Opta's figures give Kovac an average of 2.15 points per game, the highest of any Dortmund coach in Bundesliga history. The data also puts his win rate at 66%, with about two victories in every three league matches under his charge.
That record places him ahead of former Dortmund coaches including Edin Terzic, Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp on those measures.
Defensive record adds to the picture
Dortmund have kept a clean sheet in 42% of Kovac's matches in charge. Opta's numbers point to a side that has combined results with a solid defensive record during his spell on the bench.
