Lo Celso named man of the match in Argentina win

Giovani Lo Celso was named player of the match after Argentina’s 3-1 win over Jordan.

The left-footed midfielder scored the opening goal for Lionel Scaloni’s side and picked up the award after what was his first appearance at the World Cup.

Argentina finished the group stage with nine points and moved into the knockout rounds in first place.

Their last-16 tie at the 2026 World Cup will be against Cape Verde.
