Kylian Mbappé has become the youngest player to reach 100 Champions League appearances, at 27.
His route to 100
The Real Madrid forward first played in the competition for Monaco in the 2016-17 season. A goal against Manchester City in the knockout rounds was one of his first major moments in Europe.
Mbappé later moved to Paris Saint-Germain before joining Real Madrid. Across his first 99 Champions League matches, he scored 71 goals, and he finished last season as the competition’s top scorer with 15.
Messi’s mark falls
Lionel Messi previously held the record for the youngest player to reach 100 Champions League games, doing so at 28. Mbappé has now passed that mark one year earlier.
