France will lose Kylian Mbappé from their camp after he suffered a tendon injury in Friday's 1-0 Nations League win over Turkey.
Mbappé scores, then goes down
Mbappé netted the decisive goal in the 55th minute from Michael Olise's pass, taking his France tally to 67 and extending his national record.
Moments later, he sat down on the pitch clutching his left knee. The injury appeared to come without contact, and he was treated before briefly returning to play.
He then went down again and was forced off.
Zidane says France will not take risks
Zinedine Zidane, speaking to French television, said the situation was not good and that France would not take any risks with the forward. He said Mbappé seemed to have overstretched his knee when striking the ball.
The French Football Federation later confirmed the diagnosis as a tendon injury and said Mbappé would miss the rest of the camp, casting a shadow over Zidane's first match as France coach.
