Gary Neville has described Jude Bellingham as one of the most complete footballers in the game after a strong World Cup campaign for England.
The former Manchester United defender said Bellingham’s displays changed his view of the Real Madrid midfielder’s standing at the very top of the sport. Neville compared him with Brian Robson and Roy Keane, saying both men combined physical power, attacking threat, goals, leadership and responsibility in one package.
He also pointed to Bellingham’s success at club level, noting that he plays for Real Madrid, wins the Champions League and performs at the highest level in world football while also making a decisive impact for England.
Neville said Bellingham’s work without the ball stood out most during the tournament. He added that the midfielder can play deeper and still keep his quality, and said that is the version he prefers.
The pundit finished by arguing that modern elite players must contribute in all phases of the game, not just in attack. In his view, Bellingham has shown exactly that in this World Cup.
