Dani Olmo: Spain Are Ready to Reach the Semifinals

Dani Olmo says Spain are ready for their World Cup quarter-final against Belgium and are focused on reaching the last four.

Spain head into the match on the back of a late win over Portugal and a 35-game unbeaten run. Olmo said the squad are not paying attention to other teams and are concentrated on their own progress in the tournament.

"We know what strengths we have, how much we have improved in this World Cup and where we can still get better," he said. "We are trying to keep this run going and fight for a place in the semi-finals in the next game."

Olmo also highlighted Lamine Yamal’s impact for Spain. He said the young attacker looks more confident, has plenty of drive, and has already helped the team.

According to Olmo, when Yamal receives the ball, opponents often send two or three players towards him, which creates space for others. He added that Spain are confident Yamal will keep contributing.
