Jordan Pickford has become the fifth English goalkeeper in Premier League history to reach 100 clean sheets after Everton’s 0-0 draw at Tottenham.
Pickford hits the milestone
The Everton keeper kept his second clean sheet of the season as David Moyes’ side took a point from their trip to north London. The result left Everton unbeaten and on six points after four Premier League matches.
Pickford’s latest shutout took him to a century of clean sheets in the competition, placing him alongside David Seaman, David James, Nigel Martyn and Joe Hart as the only other English goalkeepers to have reached the mark.
Seaman finished his Premier League career on 135 clean sheets. James managed 166, Martyn 131 and Hart 127.

Across all nationalities, Peter Schmeichel was the first goalkeeper to reach 100 clean sheets, doing so on 28 February 1998. Seaman followed on 3 April 1999.
Only one Premier League goalkeeper has gone past 200 clean sheets: Petr Cech, who holds the record with 202.
