Portugal became the first team to secure a place in the 2026-27 Nations League quarter-finals after a 2-1 win over Norway at the Dragão on Sunday night.
Norway strike first
Kristoffer Ajer put the visitors ahead in the 36th minute, but Cancelo levelled two minutes later with a fine finish. Gonçalo Ramos then completed the comeback in the 80th minute after being set up by João Félix.
Portugal, the holders, made it four wins from four and stayed top of Group A4 on 12 points. Under the competition format, the top two sides in each League A group go through to the last eight.
The result came with Cristiano Ronaldo absent from this international window. Jorge Jesus's side had already beaten Wales, Norway and Denmark before extending their perfect start against the Norwegians.
What comes next
Portugal still have two group games left, against Denmark and Wales, as they look to finish top and carry their unbeaten run into the knockout stage.
