Carlos Queiroz has denied reports that he resigned as Ghana head coach after the team’s elimination from the 2026 World Cup.
The 73-year-old said a Facebook post he published after Ghana’s exit had been misread by some media as a goodbye. "Did I resign as Ghana’s national team coach? No, I did not," he said. "My message on Facebook was only to express gratitude."
Queiroz will remain in charge of the national side.
Ghana were knocked out in the round of 16 by Colombia.
The Portuguese coach also set a record in the tournament, becoming the oldest World Cup coach to oversee a win in the competition.
