Rodri talks under way
Spanish reports say Madrid have opened talks with Rodri’s camp and are optimistic about a deal. The Manchester City midfielder, described in the source as the standout player of the 2026 World Cup, is seen as the club’s top remaining target.
His City contract is nearing its end, which could make a move to the Santiago Bernabéu easier.
Bastoni remains on the list
Bastoni also stays on Madrid’s shortlist. Mourinho wants a left-footed, ball-playing defender for the centre of the back line and views the Inter defender as an ideal fit.
The Bastoni deal is expected to be harder to complete. Inter do not want to sell him and the player has repeatedly said he wants to stay at San Siro.
