Spain reached the 2026 World Cup final with a 2-0 win over France in Dallas, ending Didier Deschamps' bid to reach a third straight final.
Mikel Oyarzabal scored from the spot in the 19th minute after Lucas Digne’s error in the box. Spain then doubled their lead in the 58th minute, when Pedro Porro finished a move involving Dani Olmo.
France pushed harder after the interval, but Spain stayed compact and limited clear chances for Kylian Mbappé, who had scored six goals in the tournament before this match. Mbappé had one of France’s better openings late on, but the shot went narrowly wide after a deflection.
Lamine Yamal also had a goal ruled out for offside in the second half.
Spain, champions in 2010, are into a World Cup final for the first time in 16 years. France drop into the third-place play-off, while England and Argentina meet later to decide Spain’s final opponents.
