Spain will bid to host the Nations League finals this season, with the Royal Spanish Football Federation naming Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu and Valladolid's José Zorrilla as possible venues.
Louzán sets out Spain plan
Rafael Louzán, the federation president, said the country will submit a formal request to UEFA after Spain's 3-2 win over England at Wembley on Saturday. He said the proposal covers the semi-finals and final.
Louzán also pointed to Spain's wider push to stage major football events, coming at a time when attention remains on the 2030 World Cup final and its host venue.
World Cup final race still unresolved
Morocco's federation president Fouzi Lekjaa has said the 2030 World Cup final will be played at the new Hassan II Stadium, which is under construction and is expected to hold 115,000 spectators.
But FIFA has not yet made a decision on the venue for the final. Elsewhere, Barcelona's Camp Nou has already been awarded the 2029 Champions League final by UEFA's executive committee.
