Spain, a country that has conquered the world of football!

Spain’s latest youth title has added to a long list of trophies across men’s and women’s football, after the under-15 side won the first edition of its World Cup in Baku.

A perfect run in Baku

The under-15 team, coached by David Gordo, beat the Czech Republic 3-0 in the final and finished the tournament with 10 wins from 10 matches. The competition included 189 countries and almost 3,000 players.

Spain’s success at age-group level came after the country’s record in the senior game. Vicente del Bosque’s team won the men’s World Cup in 2010, while the women’s side beat England to lift the World Cup in 2023.

A wider pattern of success

Luis de la Fuente then led Spain to the men’s Euro 2024 title, with seven straight wins on the way to a fourth European crown. The country also won the women’s Nations League, the women’s World Cup and the men’s and women’s Under-19 European Championships.

Spain also won the women’s Under-20 World Cup in 2026, giving the country a third straight world title across its national teams.
