Thomas Tuchel has warned England not to expect an easy night against DR Congo in the World Cup last 16, while saying his side are well prepared for the tie.
England face DR Congo on Tuesday night and Tuchel said the match will not end level, stressing that the opposition have quality players, including several with Premier League experience. He said England had completed strong training sessions and hoped to put their plans into practice.
Tuchel also gave an update on Reece James and Jarell Quansah. Both players were at the training camp on Monday and are moving closer to a return, with Quansah slightly ahead of James in his recovery.
The England manager said the exits of sides such as Germany and the Netherlands showed how tight the tournament has become. He added that teams are tactically organised and hard to break down, with no match in the competition won in advance.
Tuchel also welcomed the pressure around England, saying it is part of being regarded as one of the main contenders for the title.
