Lamine Yamal was named the best player in Spain’s 2-1 win over Belgium in the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals on Friday night.

FIFA’s technical committee selected the young winger after the match. Spain secured the result to book a place in the semi-finals.

La Roja will face France next on 23 July.
