The United Arab Emirates Football Association has appointed Zlatko Dalić as the country's new national team manager.
Official appointment
Dalić travelled to the UAE in recent days to finalise talks before the federation confirmed his arrival and gave him an official welcome.
The 58-year-old arrives with a strong international record. He led Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final in Russia and has also been involved in three World Cups: 2018, 2022 and 2026.
Familiar face in the UAE
Dalić has worked in the UAE before, having coached Al Ain and won the UAE league title with the club.
His appointment gives the national side a coach who already knows the domestic game and has reached the final of football's biggest tournament.
