Ancelotti turns down Italy job, stays with Brazil

Carlo Ancelotti has turned down an approach from the Italian Football Federation and will stay in charge of Brazil, according to Brazilian outlet ge.

The report says Italy contacted Ancelotti around two weeks ago as they looked for a new head coach, but he declined and said he was committed to his deal with Brazil until 2030.

Ancelotti, who took charge of Brazil in late May last year, led the team at the 2026 World Cup, where they exited in the last 16 after a 2-1 defeat by Norway.

That result did not alter his position. Ancelotti and the Brazilian Football Federation have agreed to continue their partnership, with the former Real Madrid manager now focused on rebuilding the squad for the Copa America and the 2030 World Cup.
