Arsenal is considering a move to sign Vinícius Júnior

Arsenal are monitoring Vinicius Junior's situation at Real Madrid as the winger's contract talks continue to stall.

Contract talks remain unresolved

Vinicius, 26, is due to return to Madrid after Brazil's involvement at the 2026 World Cup, but his long-term future is still unclear. His current deal runs until the end of June 2027, and despite a year of negotiations between his representatives and Madrid, no agreement has been reached.

The Brazilian is said to want his salary increased from €15 million a year to €20 million before he signs a new contract. He has previously said he wants to stay at the Bernabeu, but is also prepared to leave as a free agent in the summer of 2027 if an extension is not agreed.

Arsenal and Liverpool are watching

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are assessing whether to make a move if Madrid fail to renew Vinicius's deal. He is understood to be one of the leading attacking options under consideration for next season, although the report says the interest is still at an early stage.

Madrid do not want to lose the Brazil international for nothing, while Liverpool are also said to be interested in signing him on a free transfer at the end of the 2026-27 season.
