Istanbul to host the Spanish Super Cup

The 2027 Spanish Super Cup will take place in Istanbul, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atlético set to contest the four-team tournament from 2 to 7 February.

Venue confirmed

The Spanish football federation’s executive committee approved Istanbul as host after Saudi Arabia, which has staged the tournament since 2020, pulled out because of the Asian Cup. The competition will return to Saudi Arabia in 2028.

Semi-final ties

Real Madrid will face Real Sociedad in one semi-final, while Barcelona meet Atlético in the other. The winners will go on to decide the title.

Atatürk Stadium to host

Matches will be played at Atatürk Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 2005 and 2023 Champions League finals. A specialist company will handle the commercial rights and promotional delivery of the tournament in coordination with the Spanish and Turkish football federations, with the aim of giving clubs, players, fans, partners and media an international-standard event.
