Barcelona are guaranteed to have at least one player in the 2026 World Cup final after the semi-final line-up was confirmed.
Ten players linked to the club are still in the hunt for the title, with Spain, France and England all carrying Barça representation into the last four. That has kept club officials and supporters following the closing stages closely.
The first semi-final, Spain against France, carries the heaviest Barcelona presence. Spain’s squad includes Lamine Yamal, Eric Garcia, Pedri, Gavi, Pau Cubarsí, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Joan García, while Jules Koundé is in the France side. One of those two teams will reach the final, which means Barcelona will have at least one player on the pitch in the title match.
The second semi-final pits England against Argentina. England’s squad includes Anthony Gordon, a new Barcelona signing, and Marcus Rashford, who spent last season on loan at the club before the permanent option was not taken up at the end of June.
