Brahim Diaz says Morocco have the quality and belief to beat France in the World Cup quarter-finals and set up a semi-final against Spain or Belgium.
The Morocco attacking midfielder made the comments at his pre-match press conference, saying the team had already shown its determination and ability in their previous game. He added that everyone wants to play in matches of this size.
Diaz also pointed to his four assists in the tournament, but said the team comes first. He said he feels ready for the match and expects Morocco to produce a strong performance.
The Real Madrid player was asked about facing club-mates Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni. He described them as outstanding players and people, but said both sides are focused only on winning.
Diaz also said Morocco are not short of experience and praised captain Achraf Hakimi, calling it an honour to play alongside him. He finished by saying the global attention on Moroccan football is positive and that the country's young players can help write more history.
