Mark Cucurella says joining Real Madrid is a major honour and wants his time at the Bernabéu to end with trophies, including the Champions League.

Cucurella was unveiled on Monday at Real Madrid City, with club president Florentino Pérez and honorary president José Martínez Pirri in attendance. He then posed for cameras after signing a contract running until June 2032.
Speaking to Real Madrid TV, the Spanish defender said the move marked a “very unique” day after what had felt like a long summer. He added that wearing the shirt of “the best club in the world” was a big honour and said he hoped for a strong season and plenty of silverware.
Champions League ambition
Cucurella named the Champions League as one of his main targets. He said he hoped to have “a few fantastic seasons” and lift Europe’s top prize.
He also said he cannot wait to play at the Santiago Bernabéu, describing the stadium as imposing and pointing to the role it plays in Real Madrid comebacks. He added that this season could be one of the most beautiful of his career.
