Didier Deschamps said France have reached the stage they wanted after a 2-0 win over Morocco sent them into the World Cup semi-finals.
Deschamps pointed to a third straight semi-final appearance at the tournament, saying it was a strong record in itself and adding that he has big players at his disposal.
He described the match as good but complicated. France made life harder for themselves by missing a first-half penalty, taken by Kylian Mbappe, and by wasting other chances.
Mbappe still responded well, according to his manager, and later found the net. Deschamps said France will recover before finding out who they face next.
France will play the winner of Spain against Belgium in the semi-finals, with that tie due to be played on Tuesday 23 July at Dallas Stadium.
