Deschamps says France can go all the way at World Cup

Didier Deschamps said France can win the 2026 World Cup if they keep the same level of focus and determination.

France reached the last 16 after beating Sweden, and Deschamps said the next step is to repeat that standard against Paraguay.

He praised Paraguay as a serious opponent, saying they had not reached this stage by luck or accident. Deschamps pointed to their display against Germany as proof of their quality and described them as a tough South American side with strong players and a combative edge.

Deschamps also said France still need to improve in some areas, particularly after giving opponents too many chances.

After a brief break, he said the squad will turn its attention fully to Paraguay. For him, the tournament has already entered a new phase, and France know what is required at World Cup level.
