DR Congo completed a late turnaround to beat Uzbekistan 3-1 in their third group match at the 2026 World Cup.
Uzbekistan started well and took the lead in the 10th minute through Eldor Shomurodov, then held that advantage into half-time. But DR Congo took control after the break and levelled through Yoane Wissa from the penalty spot in the 68th minute.
Fiston Mayele put DR Congo in front in the 78th minute, before Wissa struck again in stoppage time to seal the result.
The win leaves another potential route for Iran to the knockout stage unresolved, after the Group stage result went against Uzbekistan.
