Fenerbahce are exploring an unusual way to sign Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, with a proposal that could involve giving up their future sell-on rights for Arda Guler instead of paying a transfer fee.
What Fenerbahce are considering
The Morocco international has emerged as one of Fenerbahce's targets for attacking reinforcements. According to Turkish reporter Selim Koc, the club is examining a deal that would see it waive the 20% share it would receive from any future sale of Guler.
That clause was included in Guler's move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. It gives Fenerbahce the right to 20% of any fee if the midfielder is sold to another club.
Real Madrid's position
The report says Real Madrid value Diaz at around €35 million, but may also consider Fenerbahce's offer to forgo the future sell-on payment from Guler's contract.
No talks or agreement have been confirmed by either club, and it remains unclear whether Real Madrid would accept the proposal.
