Ramos has struggled for Milan
Gonçalo Ramos has made a slow start at Milan after his summer move from Paris Saint-Germain. The Portuguese forward has 11 shots on target in 13 appearances this season and has scored three goals, two in Serie A and one in the Coppa Italia.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan spent €70m to bring him to the club, which means each shot on target has cost about €6.3m so far. The paper said the numbers point to a sharp drop in his output.
A sharper record with Portugal
Ramos has shown a different edge on international duty. He scored in each of Portugal's last three matches, while his club form has not matched that return.
Last season he scored 12 goals in 45 games for PSG, mostly as a substitute. Two seasons ago he scored 19 goals in 46 games for the French club. His best season came with Benfica in 2022-23, when he scored 19 league goals and 27 in all competitions.
