Graham Potter said he had not seen a more complete side than France after Sweden were beaten 3-0 in the World Cup last 16.
Potter congratulated the 2026 finalists and said even a perfect Sweden display might not have been enough. He added that the better team won and that losing to France was nothing to be ashamed of.
Kylian Mbappé scored France's first goal, and Potter pointed to the forward's pace and finish. He also singled out Michael Olise, who set up two of France's goals, and said Sweden had liked him since his Crystal Palace days.
Potter said his players had given everything and that he was proud of their effort, even though he had hoped for a deeper run. He described the tournament as a valuable experience for Sweden and said the side must build on what it has learned.
