Haaland scored 60 goals.

Erling Haaland became the fastest player in history to reach 60 international goals after scoring in Norway’s 2-1 win over Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup.

The 25-year-old Manchester City striker also took his World Cup tally to five goals as Norway advanced to the last 16 as the first European side through.

Haaland’s strike in the round-of-16 tie means he has now scored in 13 straight matches for Norway. The goal also moved him past Cristiano Ronaldo for goals scored in World Cup knockout matches, with Ronaldo having failed to score in eight knockout appearances.

Haaland has been at Manchester City since the summer of 2022. During that spell he has won the Premier League title three times and also lifted the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Community Shield, the League Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
