Serie A’s third round ended with a run of late drama, as five matches changed after the 83rd minute and three were decided in stoppage time.
Inter and Roma strike late
Inter came from two goals down against Napoli at San Siro to win 3-2, with Lautaro Martínez scoring the winner in the 91st minute. He had already levelled the contest with his second goal of the match before completing the comeback.
Roma produced another stoppage-time turnaround at the Stadio Olimpico. Ederson had put Atalanta ahead, but Mario Hermoso equalised in the 89th minute and Matías Soulé scored the winner in the 93rd minute.
More twists in Bologna and Turin
Frosinone also claimed a late win after Venezia had fought back from 2-0 down. Antonio Raimondo scored twice before Georgiy Kurnadzhe finished the match off in the 83rd minute.
Bologna denied Sassuolo victory when substitute Artem Dovbyk scored in the 91st minute to make it 2-2, while Federico Gatti rescued Juventus with a 92nd-minute equaliser after Milan had led through Alphajo Cisse in the 68th minute.
Across the round, five decisive goals arrived from the 83rd minute onwards: three winners and two equalisers that altered the final results.
