Liverpool weigh move for PSG winger Mamadou Mbaye

Liverpool are looking at the conditions for a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Mamadou Mbaye, with the 18-year-old said to be open to a summer exit in search of more minutes.

PSG set a high price

According to GivemeSport, PSG will ask for at least €50 million for Mbaye, and that figure could rise further in the current market. Liverpool have not made a formal offer, but Mbaye is understood to welcome the chance to move to Anfield.

Bayer Leverkusen are also in the race and have already held direct club-to-club talks with PSG chiefs. The German side have made progress after discussions between Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Fernando Carro, who are said to have a strong relationship.

Game time could drive his exit

Mbaye made 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season and scored three goals, but he faced strong competition from Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola for a place in the team. PSG are also active in the market for more wide players, with Akliouche of Monaco set to arrive for around €50 million.

After missing out on Yan Diomande, who is moving towards Real Madrid, the French champions remain in the market for another winger. That could leave Mbaye even further down the pecking order and push him towards a move this summer.
