Manuel Neuer has become the most decorated footballer in German history after Bayern Munich’s 2026 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup win took him to 36 senior trophies.
Neuer moves ahead of Müller
The Bayern goalkeeper had been level on 35 titles with former team-mate Thomas Müller, who now plays for Vancouver Whitecaps. Bayern’s latest trophy lifted Neuer above Müller on his own, with former Real Madrid and Bayern midfielder Toni Kroos third on 34.
The honours behind the record
Most of Neuer’s silverware has come at Bayern. His club honours include 13 Bundesliga titles, seven DFB-Pokal wins, eight German Supercups, two Champions League crowns, two UEFA Super Cups, two Club World Cups and one DFB-Ligapokal.
His biggest international success came at the 2014 World Cup, when he was Germany’s first-choice goalkeeper in the team’s triumph in Brazil. The new total leaves him alone at the top of the German all-time list.
