Rodi has warned Barcelona not to underestimate Real Madrid before Sunday’s Clasico, saying the visitors will be driven by recent defeats in the fixture.
What Rodi said
Speaking to DAZN, Rodi said Real have won only one of the last six or seven Clasicos, in his view, and that gives them extra motivation to put things right.
He added that he expects Madrid to play at full intensity and go for the win. Rodi said matches of this size take on a different feel because of their importance and the competitive edge of the players involved.
First Clasico in Barcelona colours
The game also carries personal weight for Rodi, who is set to face Real Madrid for the first time as a Barcelona player. He described the Clasico as a match that draws the attention of football fans around the world.
Barcelona are coming off a defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, while Real have a chance to close the gap on their rivals and check the recent run of results between the two sides.
