Trabzonspor have opened talks over Karim Benzema and are checking the French forward’s transfer situation at Al Hilal, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
Benzema under consideration
The Turkish side, who recently signed Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal, are now looking at another high-profile addition for their attack. Benzema is being assessed as a possible option, with Trabzonspor gathering information on the terms of any move.
Benzema joined Al Hilal from Al Ittihad in January 2026. His arrival complicated Nunez’s situation after the Uruguayan forward joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2025 and was later left out of the Saudi Pro League squad.
No deal in place
There is no agreement over Benzema yet, and discussions are still at the stage of exploring the conditions and feasibility of a transfer. Any move would still need to be settled in negotiations with Al Hilal.
If Trabzonspor were to land Benzema as well, the club could line up a headline-grabbing attack alongside Mohamed Salah and Nunez, but that remains hypothetical for now.
