Como 1907: History, Ambition and the Rise of the Lariani

Como 1907 is an Italian football club based in the lakeside city of Como, in Lombardy. Founded in 1907, the club is known as I Lariani, a reference to the area surrounding Lake Como, and traditionally plays in blue and white. Its home ground, the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, sits close to the lake and is one of the most distinctive settings in Italian football.

After spending years outside Italy’s top division, Como returned to Serie A for the 2024–25 season following promotion from Serie B in 2024. The club’s revival followed a period of financial difficulty and a restructuring that helped lay the foundations for renewed investment in the squad, facilities and youth development.

Como’s progress continued in the 2025–26 campaign, when the team finished fourth in Serie A, achieving the highest league finish in its history and securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League. Under head coach Cesc Fàbregas, the club has attracted attention for its ambitious project and its push to establish itself among Italy’s leading teams.

With a proud local identity and growing European ambitions, Como 1907 represents one of the notable recent revival stories in Italian football. Explore the club’s squad, player profiles, match statistics and competition records on CornerFlick.
