PSV Eindhoven beat Willem II 7-0 at Philips Stadion after taking a 2-0 half-time lead and scoring five more after the break. Mauro Júnior opened the scoring on 20 minutes, and the game was settled by a burst of second-half goals.

PSV led in the 20th minute when Mauro Júnior made it 1-0. Guus Til doubled the advantage on 44 minutes, finishing from Armando Obispo to send PSV in 2-0 up at half-time.

The home side moved away quickly after the restart. Sven Mijnans made it 3-0 on 50 minutes from Sergiño Dest, Ruben van Bommel added the fourth three minutes later from Sven Mijnans, and Ricardo Pepi, who had come on in the 60th minute, scored on 73 minutes from Esmir Bajraktarević, who had also arrived from the bench on 71 minutes. Kodai Sano then made it 6-0 on 77 minutes from Pepi before Shuryjano Cornecion, who had come on in the 78th minute, sealed it on 81 minutes. The numbers backed up the scoreline. PSV had 70% possession, 689 passes to Willem II's 304, 20 shots to 4, nine on target to one, 11 corners to one and 2.55 expected goals to 1.33. Willem II also had the only two saves, while PSV were caught offside three times to one.

Willem II picked up two yellow cards, with Maxim Dekker booked on 41 minutes and Finn Stam on 75 minutes. PSV finished without a booking, and there were no red cards.
