Lens vs Lyon 2-1

Lens beat Lyon 2-1 at Stade Bollaert-Delelis after Matthieu Udol was sent off in the 84th minute and Khalis Merah pulled one back a minute later. Florian Sotoca opened the scoring and Udol doubled the lead before the late twist.

The first goal came in the 36th minute, when Florian Sotoca scored from Florian Thauvin's assist to make it 1-0. Lens took that lead into half-time.

Lens made changes in the second half and Lyon did the same, with the visitors making two substitutions on 60 minutes and Lens making two on 69 minutes. Udol then made it 2-0 in the 76th minute, again from a Florian Thauvin assist, before Lyon's late reply. Khalis Merah, who came on in the 78th minute, scored in the 85th minute to leave it 2-1, but there was no further comeback after Udol's red card in the 84th minute.

Lens had 15 shots to Lyon's 12, 7 on target to 5, and 1.41 expected goals to 0.91. Lyon had 52% of the ball and more passes, 486 to 454, while Lens won 7 corners to 4. The teams were level on offsides at 1 each, and Lens had 4 saves to Lyon's 5.

Abner Vinicius was booked for Lyon in the 23rd minute, while Jonathan Gradit saw yellow for Lens in the 50th minute. Udol's red card in the 84th minute was the only dismissal.
