Hungary vs Georgia 1-0

Hungary beat Georgia 1-0 in Budapest, with Milos Kerkez's 35th-minute goal deciding the match. Dániel Lukács set it up and the hosts kept that lead to the end.

The only goal of the first half came in the 35th minute, when Kerkez scored from Lukács' assist to make it 1-0. Hungary went in at half-time ahead 1-0.

Georgia made a change at the break, sending on Giorgi Kochorashvili for Irakli Yegoian, and later took off Otar Kiteishvili after his booking for Anzor Mekvabishvili on 50 minutes. Hungary responded with two changes on 57 minutes, with Alex Tóth and Milan Tóth replaced by Milan Vitális and Donat Barany, then made another double change on 80 minutes as Dominik Szoboszlai and Lukács went off for Tamás Szűcs and Gabor Jurek. Georgia also introduced Budu Zivzivadze and Giorgi Kvernadze on 63 minutes, with Zuriko Davitashvili coming on on 76 minutes. Hungary did enough to keep Georgia from finding an equaliser.

The numbers showed a one-sided shot count and a much more even contest for the ball. Georgia had 58% possession and 468 passes to Hungary's 322, but Hungary produced 26 shots to 8, put 8 on target to Georgia's 3 and won 8 corners to 4.
