يان ديومانده has said goodbye to RB Leipzig after completing his move to Real Madrid, calling the switch the start of a new journey.
Emotional farewell
Diomande posted a message to Leipzig supporters after the transfer was confirmed. He said joining Madrid had been a dream and thanked everyone at the German club for their support.
He added that he may meet Leipzig again in the Champions League and said he was beginning a new chapter in his career.
Big move for Madrid
The 19-year-old spent just one standout season at Leipzig before attracting interest from several top European clubs. His form in the Bundesliga and at the 2026 World Cup helped push him into the spotlight.
Madrid have paid a fee that could rise to around €135 million to €140 million with bonuses. Diomande is now set to compete for major trophies alongside Kylian Mbappé and the rest of Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
