Emiliano Martínez has raised the prospect of stepping away from Argentina after the 2026 World Cup final defeat to Spain.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper said the loss hit hard and left him thinking about his future with the national team. Martínez, known as Diبو Martínez in the source, said he had kept dreaming of lifting the trophy again and bringing the title back to Argentina.
He added that the next few days would be a period of reflection as he weighs up whether the time has come to retire from international football.
