Which league's players have scored the most goals in the FIFA World Cup?

Players based in England’s leagues have scored more goals at the 2026 World Cup than those in any other country’s domestic competitions.

The latest tournament figures show a total of 63 goals from players plying their trade in England, including the Premier League and the country’s other divisions. That leaves England 32 ahead of Spain, where league-based players have scored 31.

Germany follows with 24 goals, then France on 21 and Italy on 16. Further down the list are the United States on 11, Saudi Arabia on 10, the Netherlands on eight, and Turkey and Scotland on six each.

The numbers underline the continued reach of English club football, which remains a major home for players contributing at the biggest international tournament.
